Interpretation Concering Books Mickey's Christmas Carol: Classic Storybook
I've never really understood why this is called Mickey's Christmas Carol, since Mickey Mouse plays Bob Cratchit... and it's not really his story. In any case, this is an accessible version of the Dickens classic, shortened and secularized and made more palatable for kids. (Although, I did find the implication that Scrooge's chains would be there no matter what he did--just perhaps not as heavy as Marley's--a little weird. Was that in the original? What motive did that give Scrooge to change if he was screwed no matter what he did?)
The illustrations here are really nice. If you like Disney-style pictures, then you'll find plenty to like here.
Overall, this is one of the stronger Christmas picture books I've read this year. It brings back memories from my own childhood (we saw the movie this book is based on many times).

Love this adaptation to Dickens classic story.one of my favorites.
Love the Disney incorporation into this classic Christmas story!

One of my favorites and the ebook has photos from the movie. 💚🎄
Disney's version of Charles Dickens's 'A Christmas Carol'. I guess Disney can capitalize on this story since Dickens's version is in the public domain. *sigh* This is certainly an accessible way for children to enjoy the otherwise inaccessible original. However, I found that once Scrooge meets the ghost of Christmas past, the story is rushed. The time spent with the ghosts is cut dramatically and lessens the effect of the morality tale that is at the heart of this Christmas classic.A good, but
The first multi-session book we my kid and I (3yo) read!
I just fell in love with this book! The characters are so lovable. The pictures are detailed. The lessons that the book gives are ones that we all need.
