AwesomenessWhat a great tribute to Gary Markwick's grandfather. Would make any grandparent proud.Delightful journey through time. Great photos and graphics. Well done!Looking forward to reading his other books. A joy to read.Gary Markwick, besides being a fascinating man in his own right, has the kind of pedigree fantasy novels are made of. He grew up in a family of performers (a mix of mentalists, escapologists, illusionists, magicians and general pick-a-card pranksters), and has gone on to explore (and teach) New Age Spiritualism along with ensuring his own prowess as a world-renowned palmist. Unusual, no? So this book of his is rare: it details the life and adventures of his maternal grandfather, David AKA Duncan

This may have been the first docu-fantasy book I have ever read - and if this book is a sample of this genre, I want to read more! The "docu" part refers to the real life story of the author's grandfather who lived quite an adventurous life. He joined the circus at a young age, and eventually traveled from Scotland, to Canada, to the US; he became a well-known illusionist. I especially loved his
Let me begin by saying there isnt a book category that quite captures where "Adventures of the Great Marlo & The Blue Pearl" belongs. Tucked into Biography/Memoir, readers like myself who take such classifications seriously would expect a biography of the Great Marlo. And, although it starts out in that fashion, one quickly realizes a deviation. Not a bad deviation, but an unexpected one. That said, the books description as a docu-fantasy comes closer to the mark, but I would label it
Wounderfull adventure in spriritual path, it was great read again from Gary.Must read book everyone. Thanks a lot to author.
