Commentary Concering Books Back to the Hood (Flint #5)

I just wish like hell that this story would end already! 5 books in and Malek & Halleigh are still having the same old problems with the same old people. Malek is like the biggest gangster/drug dealer screw up I've ever read about in my life. In this book he goes from drug kingpin to world traveler to investor to stickup kid/desperate bank robber. He loses like $1.8 million in about 109 pages. I don't think I'll be picking up Book #6, but you never know with me. Hernandez isn't a bad writer, but I cannot be so certain of that because she sticks so closely to the same plots with the same characters and writes these stories in less than 150 pages. I appreciate the fact that she has managed to write so much about the same characters...the world she has built in her Flint Series is quite marvelous for an urban lit writer. That said, I'd like to see her challenge herself and her readers by writing something a bit more thorough and complete.

Assessment Containing Books Back to the Hood (Flint #5)
I am sucked into this series yet can't help but feel disgusted with Halleigh and her weak ways, always expecting Malek to take care of her, and how stupid is Malek to trust that Gary and lose all his money??? It's like a train wreck that I can't stop looking at.....

Wow, just after you think you can get away from the hood life and take a vacation, you just discover that you have been robbed blind by a scam artist. Somebody did not read the fine print! *Cough cough* Malek! Instead of telling his love the truth, things have took a turn for the worst when he finds out that the Flint rivals have joined hands together all for bricks and that Halleigh is captured. The neighborhood ex-crack addict, is now helping Malek giving him advice and fighting for Halleigh.

I Love This Series !But All These Damn Books Were Not Necessary , I Think Somebody Was Just Being Greedy ...

Can't wait to read the next!!!!I just wish like hell that this story would end already! 5 books in and Malek & Halleigh are still having the same old problems with the same old people. Malek is like the biggest gangster/drug dealer screw up I've ever read about in my life. In this book he goes from drug kingpin to world traveler to investor to stickup kid/desperate bank robber. I didn't enjoy this book as much as the others. Details do matter, and I've tried to ignore that fact because I've enjoyed reading this series and seeing Malek and Halleigh's relationship blossom. In the last book Halleigh told Malek about Mitch but that wasn't included in this installment. Further, I couldn't believe the decisions Malek made, especially while the two were on vacation. He should know not to trust people you do not know. I've enjoyed reading this series but wasn't too thrilled

Can't wait to read book 6.Man after reading a few chapters from book 6. I can't wait to read it. I recommend this series to anybody.

Missing Plot ConnectionsFlint 5 was a good read but left me with many questions due holes in the plot. Firstly, what happened to the condo in Saginaw? And the most money Halleigh saved for Scratch after he got clean? Why didn't Malek ask Halleigh to marry him but instead gave her a car instead of the ring when she came back from the hospital? Did he still have the businesses the lawyer set up? What happened to Moses and the rehab center? How could Malek give all his money to a stranger? So many
