Also, when you repeatedly shift years in time between paragraphs, there should be something to indicate the time shift. The book bounced back and forth, and by the time you realized which decade you're in, it shifts back. You expect this level of confusion with a time travel novel, not a mere drama.
I read this book years and years ago, but I still remember it. I may even try to find a copy and read it again.

Bethany MA is not a very safe place to live! This novel tells of some interesting lives behind some typical looking faces.
Interesting story... loved it being about a small New England town. Characters with flaws and faith.
