Description To Books Flamecaster (Shattered Realms #1)
A burning vengeance.Adrian sul’Han, known as Ash, is a trained healer with a powerful gift of magic—and a thirst for revenge. The son of the queen of the Fells, Ash is forced into hiding after a series of murders throws the queendom into chaos. Now Ash is closer than he’s ever been to killing the man responsible, the cruel king of Arden. As a healer, can Ash use his powers not to save a life but to take it?
A blood-based curse.
Abandoned at birth, Jenna Bandelow was told the mysterious magemark on the back of her neck would make her a target. But when the King’s Guard launches a relentless search for a girl with a mark like hers, Jenna assumes that it has more to do with her role as a saboteur than any birth-based curse. Though Jenna doesn’t know why she’s being hunted, she knows that she can’t get caught.
Destiny’s fiery hand.
Eventually, Ash’s and Jenna’s paths will collide in Arden. Thrown together by chance and joined by their hatred of the king, they will come to rescue each other in ways they cannot yet imagine.
Set in the world of the acclaimed Seven Realms series a generation later, this is a thrilling story of dark magic, chilling threats, and two unforgettable characters walking a knife-sharp line between life and death.

Reviewed by: Rabid ReadsFirst things first--I've been asked eleventy billion times where FLAMECASTER falls in the works-of-Chima lineup: it's a spinoff from her Seven Realms series. You: Should I read Seven Realms before reading FLAMECASTER?Me: That's a complicated question. Technically, you don't need to. BUT. I think you should. B/c reasons:1. It's my favorite (finished) YA fantasy series, so EVERYONE should read it.2. I have an OCD compulsion to read everything in order.3. There's3.5*********************************POR FIN LO ESTOY COMENZANDOOOOO.*********************************LO TENGO. OH POR DIOS, LO TENGO. ASSDFGHJKL.Quiero releer primero Seven Realms antes de empezar esta belleza, BUT SOON.
Love is the root of so much suffering and misery, so much loss. Its the worst thing in the world, to risk yourself by loving someone. At the same time, its the best thing in the worldand worth the risk....*pulls knife out of chest*I was personally attacked by this book. The first few chapters of Flamecaster fucking KILLED ME. Why would you do this to me, Cinda?! Ahem. Yeah, people weren't wrong about how brutal the first few chapters of this book were. If you've read the Seven Realms series

2.5 - Not going to write a whole review for this so I'll just leave a few points...1. I love the world. It feels so real and is so well done.2. I LOVED Cinda's 'Seven Realms' series (that happens before this one.) That being said, I'm totally peeved about what happened to one of the characters. So not cool. Pointless. Shitty. So if you decide to read the other series, wait a while until you dig into this one.3. The story was very slow and kinda boring. While I like the characters, I'm not super
I keep fluctuating between 4 & 5 stars. Something that happens in the beginning of the book made me almost put it down and walk away. My daughter actually did put it down. I'm still not happy about it, so I'm just pretending I didn't read that part. This book is very different from the first Seven Realms series, but also very much the same. I loved the glimpses of the old characters, and loved the new ones I got to meet. I couldn't read this fast enough, and once I moved on from the
Inconsistency and instalove. Sighhhh.I should qualify that by saying that this isn't a bad book: it's just mediocre. There's your requisite Shocking Beginning (gahhhhhh, don't get me started) to raise the stakes and invest you in the new main character, without the main character being established, on his own, as someone worth investing in. Plot-wise, there are inconsistencies, too, and those are harder to swallow. There's a lot of maneuvering to get all the players in the same place by the end
My! The story was epic! I love it! I love it! I love it! The element of surprise was truly stunning. I really should read The Seven Realms.Just one issue, the romance was too sudden. Just in my opinion though. The romance was logic to happen in the plot. And I love the relationship. It's was sweet. This book will for sure be my fave 2016.5TH JANUARY 2017JUST LOOK AT THE NEW COVER! IT HAS TOG VIBES WITH IT!AND KNOW I DON'T WHICH SHOULD I PICK....
