As Profecias de Nostradamus (Antichrist Trilogy #1)
Mario Reading, take a bow. This book is intriguing, well researched and written in such a conversational and imaginative manner that you end up thinking that youre actually present in the plot while it unfolds. The book is in the form of a race between two men, Achor Bale and Adam Sabir, both in search of the missing 58 prophecies that Nostradamus is supposed to have written back in the 16th century. Those quatrains are supposed to point out the third anti-Christ, after Napoleon and Hitler. As
Plot hard to follow and characters were not well developed.
Not a light book for an easy read. Good knowledge of history would certainly help. Some of quatrains are pretty interesting.
Fast paced and keeps you on the edge. I like how the historical facts (I assumed) are explained in the layman ways (so you don't have to fall asleep, or roll your eyes or skip that few paragraphs). I learned a lot about the gypsies too. Makes you look at them at a different light. I also like the witty and sarcastic chief inspector in this novel. Reminds me of me! But the ending...the ending, but the ending. Pfffft!
Wow! Get ready for an enormous adventure you'd probably never forget. Nostradamus, luckily, isn't the hero of the book, but it is certainly recommended to anyone interested in his figure, the gypsies and historical enigmas.I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Just another OK book. I wonder why most books that I bought from bookshops, those that cost me RM30 and above, usually tend to turn out to be quite boring in the end. Perhaps I was blinded by the shelves of books there that I can't choose a decent book. Anyway, about this book, THE NOSTRADAMUS PROPHECIES by MARIO READING. Despite the face that this book carries the name of one of the most famous prophets in history, I don't really think it is relevant here. In the prologue Nostradamus did made a

Oddly I had been watching documentaries on the Nostradamus prophecies , and took a trip to my local book store ...glancing through fiction and found this old book shoved between new releases ...what a gem ! So happy I found it and will be reading the remainder of the series . Wonderfully written, a good modern incorporation of the historical prophecies it wasn't that whole national treasure cringe feel ..it was believable . I loved the reference to the travellers and the history behind theirMario Reading, take a bow.
