The second book of the Secret Enemy Saga, The Hunted, is a very intriguing story about a quest to stop the Couton from taking over the city. I really love the characters, their personalities, and how they overcome obstacles on their journey to protect our world. This book is a very quick read and is very hard to put down. I love to read stories of murder, mystery, and suspense as well as romance, and this book combines all of that into one amazing book.New Orleans better watch out, there is a new threat and it isn't the weather. The Couton have made their way to the city and are making themselves at home. To me, this book read a lot easier than the first one. Although, had I not read the first one, I would have no clue what was happening. There's not a lot of back story to catch everyone up to speed. The story certainly flowed better. The writing felt cleaner. The plot began sooner, instead of dragging on. The characters felt a little better as well. Just finished Book 2 of the Fracture series by Virginia McKevitt. I must say that I LOVED this book and how evolved the characters were from Fracture.
