Rendition As Books Blue Moon Rising (The Patroness #1)

Maiwenn Cadic doesn’t have a quiet and normal life.
This week won’t be any different.

Being the Patroness of Paris and protecting its inhabitants is a full time job but unfortunately it doesn’t pay the bills and so Maiwenn tries her best to make a living as a down-on-her luck private eye for odd cases.

When five shapeshifters end up dead, she knows it’s bad news and has to call in The Council. They immediately send their assassin Kylian ‘The Killer’ Tremaine, a typical shapeshifter who doesn’t take ‘no’ for an answer and seems to see everything female as a damsel in distress - which Maiwenn is really not.

Together they will not only have to overcome their prejudices and obstacles in the form of a trigger-happy bounty hunter and a hungry rogue, but they will also have to trust each other in order to solve the murder before more bodies pile up.

Comment On Containing Books Blue Moon Rising (The Patroness #1)
Sounds like a Laurell K. Hamilton rip off.

Mystery, shifters, magic, romance, legends... all wrapped up in a wonderful tale that kept my interest. Though there are some grammatical errors, I learned that English is not the author's first language. And while word placements in some areas confused me at first, once I figured it out the story flowed really well. I adored this book and highly recommend it.

Blue Moon Rising is a fun, clean read that reminded me a little bit of Kim Harrison's The Hollows series. The plot is fairly basic. Maiwenn has inherited the task of protecting the people of Paris from all paranormal threats. So she basically patrols the city looking for trouble. This provided a lot of opportunities for the reader to be told interesting titbits about Paris, its history, and tourist attractions. It also allowed for a number of otherwise unconnected adventures. And while I

I received a copy of Blue Moon Rising from the author in exchange for a fair and honest review. I have to say I loved it! The story takes place in Paris and Natalie does a brilliant job of bringing the streets of Paris to life, making me want to move there tomorrow. Maiwenn is the protector of Paris, the protector looks after the supernatural creatures of Paris, investigating crimes and making sure they are not discovered by humans.Maiwenn also works as a pranormal private eye during the day so

Blue Moon Rising begins when five shapeshifters end up dead in Maiwenn's city. See, she's the Patroness of Paris, and it is her duty to protect the city. But now she must call in the shapeshifter council. They end up sending in their assassin Kylian The Killer Tremaine. Now, Maiween has a strange attraction to Kylian, and now she has to figure out what is going on before it is all too late. This book was pretty good. I really enjoyed the over all story. And I loved the relationship between

What a thrilling start to The Patroness series! As usual, it took a few chapters to get fully used to a new fantasy world, but once I got to understand the basics of Maiwenn's world and life, I was hooked. She has some very interesting friends and it's a pleasure to get to know them "behind the magic", throughout the story. And then the story really kicks off. Paris is in danger, including some of our beloved characters and Maiwenn has to try and 'save the day'. Don't even think about putting

After reading this for a second time I can now give a fair review. This book is so unique in its plot. It takes us on a journey through Paris while weaving a tale of action, intrigue and romance. Natalie combines both fantasy and other famous fictional characters to enhance the story and I loved it :DYou come to like the characters and will them on in their journey of discovering who the bad guys are.It is a really enjoyable read and I will be sure to re-read the second one now too :D
