Description In Favor Of Books Spiral

Nessa Cavanaugh, psychology student, knows how to stay on an even keel. Despite the urging of her mother and her academic advisor to get a life and have some fun, “all work and no play” sums up her plan to survive her grueling internship year at a children's hospital. She doesn't want to end up like her father, whose constant ups and downs broke her family, and avoiding unnecessary emotional entanglements is a must.

Then she (literally) runs into Dr. Aron Lindstrom in the middle of her disastrous first day on the job. The attraction is instant—and terrifying. Nessa knows she should stay away—especially when she finds out he has a reputation for being a player—but Aron is brilliant, intense, and as sexy as they come. When he challenges her to take a chance on him, her plans to stay focused on work start to crumble.

But what begins as passion takes on a dangerous edge, becoming an emotional roller coaster that’s frighteningly familiar. As things spiral out of control, Nessa must decide whether she should hold on for the ride or run … even if it means leaving her heart behind.

I must admit from the product description I wasn't expecting the type of book this story became..Nessa Cavanaugh is a Psychology student in her final year as an Intern at a prestigious hospital. On her first rotation in the Oncology Department she meets handsome Dr Aron Lindstrom. They have an instant attraction and chemistry but Nessa is warned that Aron is a bit of a ladies man. Wishing to tread carefully and protect her heart they begin a slow moving relationship with Aron trying to prove

Wow. That book was not what I expected. 4.5 stars. Emotional. Not the typical story or characters.Nessa is an intern going for her PH.D in psychology. Shes in pediatric oncology for the semester. Nessa is strong, smart and caring woman. She's been through a lot. Her father had bipolar disorder and killed hisself. Bipolar can be genetic so she lives her life and stays busy so she doesn't have to focus on the what if's. she's not mopey and annoying. She's very close to her mother and isn't some

I am in love! Great story about a girl Nessa who is going to be an intern at new hospital where she meets the Swedish doctor Aron. But something happens and Nessa and Aron are on an emotional rollercoaster and it's definitely familiar to Nessa. The problem is, can she save Aron while trying to save herself?Aron is such a sweetheart. He was amazing with his patients, especially the kids. The kids were a great part of this story.Just read it, you'll love it! I will now read more from Mila in the

So, I'm not a big fan of stories that deal with mental health issues. I see enough of it in my line of work, either as a precipitator to an incident that lands them in the ER, or a chance finding when worked up for something else entirely.Mental health is a sensitive topic to write about, however. There has to be attention to detail regarding it's pyscho-social impact on the individual and their family, as well as an understanding of the specific illness itself and it's treatment. In Spiral, the

When I finnished reading this book my feeling was like "okay?thats all?" I liked the fact that is a psychology doc student and a swedish guy (as It happens to be kind of my life! I was shocked, Im studying clinic psychology and my boyfriend is swedish aswell) so was quite funny when Aron starts talking in swedish and I could understand what he was saying. I liked the characters, but some parts just got really boring.is not a bad book, one of those which you read when you have free time and dont

Mila Ferrera's debut novel, SPIRAL, is an emotional ride that hits you in all the right places. When I say she really gets inside her character's head, I mean she really does. I've never been a huge fan of YA because of all the angst, but this New Adult is a whole different cup of tea. And I'll drink it to the last drop! Her characters are beautifully broken and to see them be intricately stitched back together as the story goes is an amazing thing. Nessa and Aron are two characters who feel

This was really good. It took an unexpected turn that I appreciated. I like being caught off guard with an "I did not see that coming" moment. This story turned out to be a lot more than I thought it would be. The storyline involved a heavy issue, but dealt with it in a way that didn't send me into an emotional tailspin. A lot of books have been tackling this subject lately and the way they do it frankly freaks me out. This was done in a way that made me feel more compassion than fear. Well
