Relation Supposing Books Vassalord, Volume 1 (Vassalord #1)

The main character is a cybernetic vampire priest.

Well, priest-in-training. Training that involves slaying vampires rather than, you know, the seminary. Or caring about stuff like chastity. Charley/Chris/Cherry is a cybernetic vampire-slaying vampire wannabe-priest who is gay with his vampire master who is maybe a drug dealer or something* and has sexy attack maids but also likes cute things like pandas and dorky little kids with bowl cuts (not in a pedo- way).

Oh, Charley also has a doberman.

And can work a Princess Bride reference into casual conversation.

They go to China together (which is where the pandas come in) and fight a rip-off of Anne Rice's little girl vampire. They go to a black-tie party at a Unitarian church. They explore underground tunnels and fight monsters and get caught inappropriately making out in semi-public settings.

The author says this was written on a whim.

If you're not bothered by smut or things that make no sense this is actually quite good. It has entertaining action and is funny actually has one of the healthier relationships I've seen in manga.

I'm bummed my library doesn't have the rest of this series as we haven't even found out what the title means yet. (view spoiler)[The word is written on a piece of paper, I think dropped by the mysterious eyepatch-wearing wheelchair kid who has some connection to the police. (hide spoiler)]

*At the beginning Rayflo is obviously rich and is making a deal for a "shipment" from somebody named Barry(!) but this gets dropped and he later seems to be living with Charley.

Evaluate Regarding Books Vassalord, Volume 1 (Vassalord #1)
Dark, funny, high action and plot. This is not a fluffy romance, but more Seinen. Two vampire hunters who work for the Vatican, that are vampires themselves. Twisted, yet campy funny with some sexy scenes between these two. Love this series.

Not really my thing, though I'm sure there is a market for it among teenage girls.

This, this is what I needed!Maybe a little bit cliché-ish, but the plot was entretaining enough that I have the urge to read the rest of the volumes. This story is gory and graphic enough to me (not an excess of blood and guts) to be enjoed by my dark side. The romance is slowburn and you can read that there are certain sentiments between the main characters, but because they have a past together imposible to forget, it isn't a real romantic relationship...yet. Their relationship is an emotional

this is 100% nsfr (not suitable for ramadan) but someone on twitter mentioned it and i had sudden nostalgic flashbacks to my misspent youth :') might poke around some of the comic shops next time i'm in the twin cities and see if i can find out whether this really is as ridiculous as i remember

This is the second manga series that I have bought where a vampire (a cyborg one this time though) is doing the work of the Vatican. Trinity Blood being the first.I liked the characters and the shounen-ai was fun, but I did find Rayflo transforming into a woman at will a bit OTT. Plus I am still unclear as to why there were suddenly two of him at the end!Yeah, so not sure if I'm going to continue with this or not...

I love, love, love Nanae Chrono's art, but the plot in this manga was way too confusing and disorganized. It was nearly unreadable.

Not for me. The Shounen-ai don't like me, even if the art or characters are beautiful.
