I was assigned this bookalong with Stephen Mitchells new translation of the traditionaltext during a yoga teacher training. I am a grownup, but as someone with limited background knowledge in Hindu culture and mythology, this was an excellent, easy to absorb first read of the sacred text and helped me to understand and contextualize the message of the Gita in a modern world. I picked up this book at a time when I was keenly looking for a spiritual read. I am happy that this book satiated my thirst. It is a good book on Gita which can be equally read by Adults and children. The Gita has been explained in the simplest way possible for better understanding. This is a book that needs the luxury of time to understand what it entails.

Loved the treatment of what has been deemed a very abstruse piece of text. Roopa Pai, in her trademark style, has made it accessible, relatable, and easy to understand for children. This is a good place to start even for adults.
