Representaion Supposing Books Peiyena Peiyum Mazhai
He being a lyricist, most of his poems are the ones that lend themselves nicely to movie lyrics. Actually, excerpts from some of the poems in this book have been used as lyrics though not in their entirety. Moongil thottam , Nenjukulla (both from Kadal), Netru munniravil (Alaipayuthe), Neela mazhaichaaral (Chekka chivantha vaanam) have their source from this collection. So all are good poems. They are especially good if they are rooted in aspects of country life. Certain things felt a bit repetitive; at the same time, I liked reading certain poems 2-3 times. Only thing is I never had a lump-in-the-throat kind of moment that hits you from poems of Manushya puthiran, Francis Kiruba and some other poets that I get to read randomly from here and there. One of the best poet!!! loved all the poems in this book... Worth reading.Vairamuthu was born to Ramaswamythevar and Angammal of Mettur in a middle-class family. When he was four, the village gave way to Vaigai Dam and the family moved to Vadugapatti village, a farming community in Theni near Periyakulam.The ambience of the village is said to have inspired him to write poems.
