****minor spoiler alert****Meet Matthew Elliot one of LAs best narcotics detectives. Hes smart, tough and exceptionally good at his job. He's also a closeted gay man.Enter Kira Takeo Franco, the new boxing coach at the gym. Matthew can't deny his immediate attraction to the man his fellow cops know as Frankie. I loved their story in this book! I loved their attraction and sparring sessions. I liked that their love story was not angsty, but sweet. I specially liked that Kira's father turned out4 stars!Another awesome series by one of my beloved authors! Book one of the Turning point series is the story of Matt and Kira. Loved both these guys from the first moment they met I felt their chemistry. Both guys were not out about being gay, especially Matt, who was a detective and was scared his team wouldnt accept him. Kira at least had the support of his parents, but what I like about their relationship was that they were upfront about it. The fact that they kept their relationship on the
Loved this - the story of Matt & Kira. Matt was the golden boy cop who loved his friends and partner but he kept his secret thinking he wouldn't be accepted. Then Matt meets Kira in the boxing ring at gym and his world fell apart ! After coming out of the closet, Matt realized Kira was the one for him and during a hostage siege decided to man up and tell his team. From fear and pain came a sense of peace but only on the surface. Matt clearly had unresolved issues and I can't wait for more in

Unofficially the face of his fab-four narcotics team he spends his time afraid anyone will discover his deepest secret.Kira "Frankie" Franco is the new instructor at the cop gym down the block. Matt takes one look at Kira and knows he's in trouble. Kira realizing Matt is closeted gives him the perfect out - even though Kira is out in his personal life, he has made sure to keep his private life complete private after starting work at the gym. So
***Audio Review***Enjoyed Sean's interpretation of Matt and Kira, but CAN. NOT. wait for the The Thomas Elkin Series to come out later this year, and thank goodness Sean is narrating that one too.Nic Walker is an auto-buy author for me. It's a very romantic tale with the 'coup de foudre' that the French rabbit on about all the time right at the beginning of the book, lucky Matt & Frankie. Of course as Matt's deeply in the closet (policeman and all), Frankie (real name Kira) becomes the
Re-read May 2014 originally read 4th October 2012 Four detectives in narcotics who are very successful at clearing crime rings, bring down a most wanted drugs supplier. Their 'spokesman' Detective Matthew Elliot is gay but none of them know this and he wants to keep it that way until he meets a new fitness instructor ' Frankie ' ( proper name Kira Takeo Franco ) a stunningly beautiful Euro Asian who takes his breath away at first sight. The attraction is mutual and they begin an affair
4.25 starsWell, hell, I was not expecting the INTENSITY. When I think of Walker, I think of mild emotional angst in a mostly feel-good story. And this book was that...until it wasn't. I love Matt and Kira. Their love felt so raw and real. The feels and heart-wrenching I love yous UNDID me.I want these MCs happy, but I just read the blurb for book 2, and it looks like more angst is in store for them. But I make your heart beast funny? You get butterflies when you think of me? Do you think of me
