Commentary To Books Destiny

Christopher Burton, Britain's foremost foreign correspondent, has returned with his Italian wife to London for an extended stay. One morning, he receives a phone call announcing that his teenage son has committed suicide. Why, upon hearing the news, does he immediately conclude that his marriage of 30 years is over? And why is grief so slow in coming? Analyzing the three decades of his love-hate relationship, Burton finds his life a web of contradictions, questions, and confusions. And yet, clearly, it has also been his destiny.

Weigh Up Out Of Books Destiny
While temporarily living in London with his wife Christopher "Chris" Burton, renowned ex-journalist receives a phone call informing him of his son Marco's suicide. After replacing the receiver his first thought is that this means the end of his thirty years of marriage. That now there is no reason whatsoever to go on living together. We're confronted with the thoughts of Chris Burton for the 48 hours after this fatal call. Hours spend like in a daze in taxi's, airports and airplanes, hospitals,
