The book Demian by Hermann Hesse was a book that caused much controversy for its interesting techniques. It was a hard read and was difficult to follow along because of Hesse's bad writing techniques. The story structure was a little unorginized and it caused the reader to be left with much confusion. The book had competing ideals about religion on the standards of a single mans journey through life. Sinclair was just a lost kid who had struggles though out life and would end up relying onI thought this book was wonderful. It really leads you on a road of discovery for the character but also in learning about the character you do truly learn more about life and the world around and in that, yourself. Great book!

Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse is an outstanding Journey about a man on a mission. It an outstanding story about a man who leaves everything behind for learning and understanding. Throughout his journey with his friend Govinda, he seeks enlightenment. During his life he undergoes several life changes and passes by themes that are shown throughout his life like being able to cure life. Siddhartha will searches for the one major goal in life that is above all others, nirvana.
This book was such a spiritual ride. I feel myself sympathizing sinclair at times, for feeling reeled in by others to find who i truly am. A missing star for my inability to comprehend the final parts of the book lol, but overall i'd recommend this to anyone who wants to take on a journey of self discovery.
We're all on a journey. While our stories may rhyme, they're all different, and we all learn to become different people at different times. One thing we all learn, however, is that the world isn't perfect, and others won't always be there to help you out of a jam. When I first started reading Demian, this was a reality I'd never thought about extensively before. I knew the world wasn't sunshine and rainbows, but I always just assumed that if I was really in trouble, everything would be alright
Simple yet so powerful. 116 mesmerizing pages. Must read.
