Article Appertaining To Books Blessings
I think this is the last Belva Plain book I will read. I find her stories much the same and I can't get past the lack of morals the characters show. Whether this makes me a prude or not, I'm glad I still think pre-marital relations are inappropriate.

a new author I had never tried before. I couldn't put this book down, strong characters and a good story about the choices we make.

At thirty-six, Jennie Rakowsky's life couldn't be better. She was engaged to a wonderful man, her career as a lawyer was skyrocketing and she was never more beautiful. Then a secret from nineteen years ago threatened to shatter it all. I really love Belva Plain's books. I think she is a wonderful writer and I give the story an A+! I definitely love books about family relationships rather then straight romance.

I just could not see Jennie's point of view. I understand wanting to get married, but if she truely loved this man she should have been honest with him. If he leaves you because you told him you had a child, then he isn't in a place to love you forever. She did nothing wrong, committed no crime or sin that would be unacceptable in my opinion, and it was all in the past.

Nobody does angst as well as Plain.

Jennie Rakowsky had a daughter out of wedlock as a young college student. Unwilling to consider abortion, she went to a home for unwed mothers, had the baby and immediately gave her up for adoption. She then moved forward with her life, putting this difficult time behind her. Now, almost 20 years later she is a successful lawyer and advocate of women's rights and is engaged to be married. Out of the blue she receives a phone call from an agency stating that her daughter would like very much to

I only read 30 boring pages.
